Dinner Parties & Small Events
“The fondest memories are made when gathered around the table”
Hosting a dinner party is a beautiful expression of care. The thought that goes into planning an evening, cooking, dressing a table, and welcoming people into your home is a celebration of love and should be enjoyed, whenever possible, with friends and family.
We like to start with a theme and then use that to draft all of the details, including invites, flow of the event, tablescape design, and menu.
We find that dinner parties or events feel unique and special when we combine vintage pieces, newer items, natural materials, and greenery.
Early Spring Dinner Party
It was the time of year when everything had just started to get green so we kept the color palette focused on shades of moss and leafy greens with shades of white and ivory. We used many vintage pieces and layered in some botanically-inspired accessories to give the tablescape a woodland charm.
The seasonal menu we developed for the party was inspired by the March holidays, St. Patrick’s Day and Easter.
Spring Dinner Party
It is believed that the word ‘April’ comes from the Latin word ‘Aperire’, which means ‘to open’. So we embraced that as our theme. Since ‘to open’ could reference the many openings or blossoming of plants, flowers, and trees in April, we decided to incorporate budding branches in the arrangements.
We embraced a romantic color scheme, using shades of peach, pink, and green, grounded with white and pewter.
The menu reinforced the theme by incorporating food that needs to be opened to eat (eg: eggs, peas, nuts, scallops).
Cinco de Mayo Dinner Party
Bright and festive was the goal. To create the tablescape we used bright yellow, tones of sangria, and leafy green shades. We balanced it all with creamy white and ivory. We also used a lot of texture so the table had a sense of movement and a fun flair.
